After the buoys were launched, all 5 pinged in once, letting us know that the tracking device was working correctly and all five buoys were afloat. Within 24 hours, however, one of the buoys went under. When looking to identify the sunken buoy, we ran into a bump in the road. The Tracking ID numbers we had on record were not matching those on the websites. After checking and sending emails, referencing ESN numbers, and a large headache, I am saddened to announce the demise of the Unicorn of the Sea. This is our best option, as its ESN numbers match with all of our records. Once Dr. Stalker receives NOAA confirmation, the official announcement of the sunken buoy will be announced. For now, I have high hopes for the rest of the buoys.
